Absa Next Launches Integrated Digital Finance Platform

Absa Bank Kenya has launched Absa Next, an integrated digital financial ecosystem bringing banking, saving, investing, borrowing and lifestyle services together on one platform.

Customers can access savings of up to 7%, investment returns of up to 16%, and instant credit ranging from KSh 500 to KSh 1 million for personal or business needs.

Co-op Bank and EBRD Close US$100 Million Swap

Co-operative Bank of Kenya and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) have successfully closed a US$100 million cross-currency swap.

The transaction is expected to strengthen Co-op Bank’s capacity to provide competitively priced foreign-currency financing to Kenyan businesses.

Bank of Kigali has joined China’s Cross-Border Interbank Payment System (CIPS) as a direct participant.

The Government is seeking to raise KSh 50 billion through the reopened 15-year FXD3/2019/015 and 20-year FXD1/2019/020 Treasury Bonds.

The bonds carry coupon rates of 12.34% and 12.873%, respectively, with the bid submission deadline set for 30 September 2026 at 10:00 a.m.
